Our Mission in 2021 -

+ we want to start the Salamina association
+ we want to make it possible for every Salaminian and any world citizen to participate in our efforts to:

Make Salamina Island a better place to live
Give it the best possible future for the next 20-50-100 years

Our initial tasks;
- register the association in order to become a speaking partner with any organization which can help Salamina Island.
- prepare a list of the island issues and vulnerabilities
- invite all Salaminians to join
- present the island in all possible ways (for example with the ERF-financing).

Who we are; a growing group of Salamina friends from all over the world.

Our first international helpers:

- Professor B.Rankov, Chairman of the Trireme Trust.
Co-author of  a.o. The Athenian Trireme

What we wanted for the celebrations in 2021

1. The unique Archeological park at Ambelakia Bay )see: https://salamisfoundation.org/salamis-ambelakia-harbor.html

2. The Ambelakia Museum, a very special Museum, unique in Greece.

3. More information to follow soon!

4. - “ The Historical Battle of Salamis Project”.

Short project description of The Salamis Project:

1. The aim of the Historical Educational Park is to explain in as many ways as possible the importance and history of the Battle of Salamis. It's influence on Europe, world history and our civilization. We expect this project will attract visitors to all of Salamis.

2. To create also a project where people can be trained for a job and where the unemployed can find new ways (see for example: www.bataviawerf.nl ) to work and to preserve our shipping heritage.

3. Besides it is time to restore Old Salamis harbor to it's old glory, which is also our intention ( see Old Salamis harbor).
